Responsibilities
The Senior Program Coordinator will provide overall coordination of the Sexual Violence Prevention Unit. This includes primary oversight of sexual violence prevention efforts and the Primary Prevention Program; programmatic oversight of sexual violence prevention data and evaluation, and coordination with the Bureau’s Sexual Violence Response Unit. Other appropriate related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in a public health, health, or human services-related program or community-based organization; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. The experience must have been contributing toward the development, implementation and/or evaluation of a program, project or other related activities. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health, social work, nursing or a related field. Experience working in the field of sexual violence prevention and/or response; working knowledge of social determinants of health, health disparities, and health equity as they relate to sexual violence prevention, program planning, and evaluation; knowledge and understanding of implementation of community-level activities and the socio-ecological model; experience working with multidisciplinary and cross-sector stakeholders; experience with oversight and management of grants, budgets and/or reporting; experience in conducting oral presentations; experience drafting written materials such as request for applications, press releases and/or other public-facing materials.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel up to 25% of the time will be required.
The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of onsite and remote work.
