Position Overview

Position Marketing Statement: The Office Associate, located at the Hill Correctional Center, serves as clerical support for the institution’s Field Services Department. This position requires confidentiality, accuracy, and strict attention to detail. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, task oriented, and organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills. We are looking for a dedicated candidate that can be trusted to display professionalism, integrity, civility, transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in all actions. Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepares and maintains complex and confidential records and reports for the daily operation of the Field Service Office.
  2. Works in conjunction with Field Services Representatives in obtaining individual in custody release plans.
  3. Keyboards complex charts, statistical reports, documents, forms, memoranda, and letters including legal, medical, and psychological terminology where an understanding of specialized items is required to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  4. Serves as receptionist for the Clinical Services Department.
  5. Serves as back up to Office Associate – Visit Coordinator.
  6. Serves as back up to Office Associate – Clinical Services.
  7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school AND two (2) years of related office experience.
  2. Requires the ability to keyboard 45 words per minute.

Conditions of Employment

  1. Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  2. Requires ability to pass a drug screen.  The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
