We offer the possibility of <strong>hybrid</strong> work.</span></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>What you will be doing</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span>In this position, your work will include maintaining infrastructure for processing maritime data and close collaboration with teams working on customer-facing applications like the Fleet Operations Solution (<a href="https://www.wartsila.com/marine/voyage/fleet-operations-solution)">https://www.wartsila.com/marine/voyage/fleet-operations-solution)</a>. On a typical day, you might start by writing Python code to improve internal tools and end the day with investigating delayed data. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have support from your teammates, both developers and data engineers.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>By enhancing our data processing capabilities, you'll help shipping companies reduce their carbon footprint. Your work will directly contribute to real-world fuel savings, saving thousands of tons of fuel annually across our client fleet. By helping our customers save fuel we help decarbonize the marine industry.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>For us to be the best match, we expect you to have an understanding of <strong>Python </strong>ecosystem and experience from working with Docker and Kubernetes. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from working with a large codebase.
