***OPEN UNTIL FILLED***Provo City Police is looking for a full-time Senior Administrative Assistant to support the Special Operations Division of Provo City’s Police Department.
This position involves advanced clerical support work and event planning skills relative to Police Departments activities and events. What is the compensation package?
Pay: (G22) $20.44 - $28.18 per hour (depending on qualifications) plus a generous benefits package.

Enter and retrieve data from specialized software programs.
Review Spillman reports for Division as needed.
Greet customers and answer questions about services in-person and via phone, email, and other correspondence.
Type reports, forms, and other documents.
Operate general office equipment make appropriate purchases for the Department for events, classes, and general office needs.
Oversee processing of workflows.
Compile figures for special reports.
Maintain calendars and staff schedules.
Attend weekly Partnership and COP Team meetings, Neighborhood & Area Council meetings, Good Neighbor Meeting (City leaders).
Present information, or feedback and take notes at meetings as needed.
Update and maintain payroll for the Division.
Manage personnel, hiring, pay practices, training, and discipline for the part time school crossing guards.
Coordinate with schools, City Engineers, School Resource sergeant, and attend review meetings and school safety council meetings as needed.
Work with Crime Analyst to determine crime trends, problem areas, problem persons and locations.
Organize and facilitate National Night Out, Citizens Academies, School and Business Safety Fairs, Neighborhood Outreach (Brats with Cops, Police Picnics, Coffee with a Cop etc.), Bike Rodeos, City Directed Projects, Alcohol Compliance Checks, Crime Prevention projects/advisories, City Council/Neighborhood Program liaison.
Assist with approvals and annual renewals of all Beer Licenses within the City as needed.
Maintain knowledge for laws pertaining to the sale and handling of Beer, including proximity regulations.
Complete review and approval of general Business License Applications that need police sign-off.
Perform other related duties as required.
What are the minimum qualifications?
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
3 years of clerical experience.
An equivalent combination of job-related education and experience may be substituted (1 year of post-secondary education/training for 6 months of experience).
Specific experience using specialized computers or software packages may be required.
A valid, lawful Driver license may be required.
What is the selection process?
