Job Title: Blackstone Real Estate – Senior Associate, Securities

Job Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Real Estate Securities business, which is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and executing all liquid, real estate-related debt investments on behalf of Blackstone Real Estate.
• Participate in the investment process for a wide range of real estate debt transactions, with a primary focus on CMBS, RMBS and ABS.
• Perform acquisitions of CMBS/RMBS, corporate real estate-related debt, ABS, derivatives and other forms of public and private securities.
• Perform new loan originations.
• Perform real estate analysis and modeling.
• Perform market research and comparable company analysis.
• Develop presentations and memoranda.
• Assist in the diligence and evaluation of trading opportunities.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations
• Minimum 3 years of experience modeling detailed cash flows in Bloomberg and Intex;
• Minimum 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed financial models and cash flow pro formas with strong fundamental understanding of real estate across asset types;
• Minimum 3 years of experience analyzing and underwriting CMBS (preferably with a focus on Conduit CMBS);
• Minimum 3 years of experience executing CMBS transactions (in both primary and secondary markets) with a deep understanding of market-specific trading technicals;
• Minimum 3 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to develop internal and external presentation materials.
• Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:

$160,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
