Position Title: Construction Project Manager

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt 


Position Summary: Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Construction Project Manager to support the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing statements of work for NEXCOM review and approval regarding facility deficiencies and program requirements
  • Providing cost estimates for construction projects and/or design efforts in support of NEXCOM capital program requirements
  • Conducting technical and functional reviews of designs, plans, and specifications to ensure they are in alignment with best practices, building codes, and unified facilities criteria. Projects for design reviews may or may not be within the local Hampton Roads area
  • Utilizing NEXCOM’s electronic project management system to develop, route, and document files, reports, and other project related documentation
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Security Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC) clearance.  

This position requires passing an extensive background check.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an ABET/NCARB accredited engineering or architecture
  • Eight (8) years of experience in project management for projects requiring ground up construction and/or multi-trade renovations of single and multi-story facilities in the commercial and/or government sectors of industry.
  • Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license in any state
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
