North America Sales Leader - Data Center & Building Automation

We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to shape the future of Emerson’s growth across North America in this rapidly evolving sector. In this key strategic role, you will drive central initiatives to expand our presence in the data center and building automation markets while leading a team of sales engineers. You’ll play a critical role in building strong customer relationships, driving cross-functional collaboration, and representing Emerson in key industry forums and events.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Developing and implementing strategic plans to lead and grow key data center and building automation accounts in North America, aligning solutions with customer needs.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with corporate clients, driving revenue growth through tailored sales strategies.
- Crafting and driving a comprehensive coverage model for accounts, targeting new and existing market segments.
- Defining growth targets and pursuing new customer acquisitions, project opportunities, and demand generation initiatives.
- Leading sales campaigns, collaborating with marketing and product teams to bring value propositions and drive team alignment.
- Representing the organization at key industry events and fostering a high-performance community of engineers.
- Conducting in-depth customer discovery, developing solutions and account plans to address business challenges and support major customer presentations.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience; four (4) of which must be in sales or marketing
- Ability to travel throughout North America up to 55% of the time
- Data Center and/or building automation industry experience or experience selling into the Data Center and/or building automation industry required
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Proven track record of sales leadership in the data center, building automation, or related industrial sectors.
- Strong people leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales enablement tools.
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The total target comp range (base + sales bonus) for this position is $180,000-$210,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
