Our Corporate Communications team sits at the crossroads of our company. We serve as business partners to internal stakeholders and ensure external audiences receive consistent, timely, and relevant information about Anaplan. As stewards of the communications that drive our brand, strategy, culture, DEIB, and employee experience, we are a talent-dense team who are dedicated to informing, educating, engaging, and inspiring through effective mediums and channels.
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Corporate Communications/Social Media Specialist to join our team. The full-time position is based in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia area and will eventually have an in-office requirement of at least two days per week (DC Metro office pending).
Your Impact
This role is designed for a generalist with a working understanding of organic social media and corporate communications who is eager to learn and grow while helping Anaplan transform into a category-defining company. This position provides a unique opportunity for professional growth in both corporate communications and social media management. You will support our communications business partners who are responsible for a wide range of strategic campaigns and tactical materials designed to engage internal and external stakeholders with compelling content.

- Draft a variety of internal and external communications materials for Anaplan’s digital, people, and experience channels, including Anaplan’s social media channels, company intranet, email, presentations, leadership events, and more.
- Assist in the execution of communication strategies to help Anaplan and its leaders maintain a consistent voice in alignment with our strategic priorities and corporate strategy.
- Curate and create engaging and shareable content for the company’s social media platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Participate in enterprise event support, coordination, and execution.
- Have a strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple streams of work.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of communication and social media efforts.
Your Qualifications
Proactive, strategic storyteller with the following attributes:
- Two or more years of in-house corporate communications, agency, corporate social media, or journalism experience
- Strong writer with versatile communications skills, an interest in social media, business, and enterprise software, and the ability to translate complex issues/materials into accurate, compelling, and digestible content
- Demonstrated ability to write and tailor content for specific channels and audiences and an understanding of messaging, positioning, and stakeholder needs
- Familiarity with social media platforms and a willingness to think outside of the box when it comes to creative content; ability to develop and edit PowerPoint presentations
- Strong project management and excellent organization skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced team with an ability to meet deadlines and adapt/change direction as needed
- Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative who is focused on results
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and influence with leaders and collaborators at all levels
