Doylestown, PA | Part Time, Hourly | $13.50 - $15.00 per hour | Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 2:30pm-5:00pm

We are looking for an Adapted After School Instructor to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the community around us. We help young adults increase independence through community based activities, job skill exploration, and healthy living experiences.

What is needed for this job as an Adapted After School Instructor:
- 16+ years of age
- 1+ years experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health concerns in a recreational or educational setting
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with others
- Are able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
The responsibilities we will trust you with as an Adapted After School Instructor:
- Safely supervise and lead participants through provided daily activities
- Adapting program activities to suit each participant's needs
- Positively engage and interact with participants while encouraging positive socialization between participants
- Reinforce positive behaviors, teach proper sportsmanship and bring enthusiasm to every shift
- Acknowledge different learning styles and meet the needs of each participant
- Develop strong relationships with participants and their families through communication and actions
- Provide feedback to participants and parents/guardians on individual performance
- Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled program time to prepare equipment and set up for program to begin at scheduled start time
- Maintain confidentiality of all participants
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor
