Job Description:

The College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University, renowned for its leadership in education, health, and human well-being, is seeking a Budget and Finance Specialist II. This dynamic role involves financial planning, analysis, and budget management across the college's five academic units, which include the departments of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management; Food Science and Human Nutrition; Human Development and Family Studies; Kinesiology; and the School of Education.

Reporting to the Budget and Finance Director, you will collaborate closely with faculty and staff to ensure the college's financial integrity while also solving complex problems. As part of the team, you will play a key role in upholding the college's tradition of excellence, contributing to its mission of advancing human potential through innovative research and impactful initiatives. This vibrant learning community fosters the science and technology of living and learning, preparing graduates to make meaningful contributions to society.

The successful candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative environment, handling a wide range of budget and finance issues related to fee-for-service activities, grants, research funds, and other university finances.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.

Level Guidelines
• Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals
