What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $102,000 - $132,000/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.   

In this position you can expect to work on site up to 3 days per week at the Denver International Airport.

Denver International Airport is looking for a Power Platform Developer to join our Business Technologies team. The Power Platform Developer designs, builds, and maintains custom business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, and Dataverse. They focus on automating workflows, creating low-code/no-code applications, and integrating with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Fabric.

Specifically, as the Senior IT Developer, you will:

  • Gather business requirements, analyze processes, and design functional solutions.

  • Create Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, and Power Automate flows, to enhance business processes.

  • Integrate Power Platform with Dataverse, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Perform Unit and functional testing for processes developed in Power Platform which will include writing and initiating test cases.

  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing.

  • Utilize Power Fx, JavaScript, TypeScript, and C# to extend functionality beyond standard low-code limitations.

  • Adhere to security best practices and data governance policies.

  • Mentor and coach other development staff.

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

This is a customer-facing position which requires the candidate to have the skillset to approach all tasks and business relationships with the internal project team, external vendors, and other support resources, in a highly professional manner. 

Additionally, our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:

  • Experienced in developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Agent Builder, and integrating with Azure services such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Gateway, and Cognitive Services.

  • Skilled in Power Platform administration, governance, and modern cloud delivery models (SaaS/PaaS).

  • Proficient in extending low‑code platforms using Power Fx, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, C#, JSON, PowerShell, and RESTful APIs.

  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power BI, and integration across Power Platform, Azure, and Fabric.

  • Effective in systems analysis, requirement gathering, writing user stories, and producing technical documentation.

  • Experienced in mapping business processes and translating them
