Job Summary
Responsible for managing a large-scale project that focuses on organizing, transporting, and cataloging research specimens for the Principal Investigator. Takes ownership of the project lifecycle by facilitating communication with the PI and monitoring progress toward project goals. Ensure that the project is completed successfully. Can assist in other research within the lab, but the primary responsibility for this role is organizing, transporting, and cataloging research specimens for the Principal Investigator. There are no supervisory or financial responsibilities associated with this role.
Qualifications
Essential Functions:
-Develops comprehensive project plan for organizing, transporting, and cataloging research specimens. Monitors and manages this project from initiation through completion.
-Manages project to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.
-Communicates regularly on project status with Sr. Research Manager and Principal Investigator
-Works under the guidance of the Sr. Research Manager and Principal Investigator.
-Identifies potential risks early, analyzes the possible impact, and develops mitigation strategies.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required and Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred.
Experience
Experience in project management, preferably in the healthcare industry 5-7 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience with healthcare-specific project management tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
