Job Title: Network Architect

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Top Secret
Required Certification(s): · Cisco CCNA (or CompTIA CASP+)· Preferred:· Cisco CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)· ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or CompTIA Cloud+· Microsoft Certified Professional Certificate 2019 or higher (Must be able to obtain within 6 months of Hire)· Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) / CCT Routing and Switching Certification or equivalent· VMWare experience (VCP, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire is preferred)
SUMMARYAgile Defense LLC provides all IT support, software development, Network and Systems Engineering, and Service Desk Technician support to the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). This is a small (250+ user) operation that plays an important role in the advancement of basic Scientific research for the US Air Force and Space Force. The specific mission of AFOSR is to identify opportunities for significant scientific advancements and breakthrough research around the world, and to bring together researchers and resources to advance revolutionary basic research for Air Force needs. Agile Defense provides the software solutions development and support, and IT operations and infrastructure (on-prem and cloud) to support that mission.This position will provide hands-on planning and execution of network and system operations, to include on-site IT system management, network architecture and operations, CISCO Identity Services Engine configuration, and VOIP phone telecommunications support. It requires a holistic view of IT support where the engineer is involved, and has input, with all aspects of IT operational support, to include network management, system administration, server virtualization (via VMWare), mobile device management, Windows OS, and mobile device management. This position, however, will have primary focus on on-premises network management and administration.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Provide technical and operational support for network and system related projects and operational tasks, issues.· Stand up, configure, and manage CISCO Identity Services Engine (ISE) functionality · Provide hands-on support and/or coordination to architect, maintain, and troubleshoot the Cisco networking infrastructure and related services· Monitor IT systems and network infrastructure to ensure the highest level of IT systems and network availability and stability.· Advise the CITO and Program Manager on recommended practices, tools, equipment, and services to maintain and improve system and network performance and reliability.· Provide VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi infrastructure, and VOIP phone system for the AFOSR IT environment, if possible.· Maintain documentation of maintenance for AFOSR computer systems and network infrastructure.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES· May have leadership/supervisory duties of a small Network Operations team (2-3 people)
