Woodbridge Holdings has an opening at its wholly owned subsidiary, Woodbridge Sales & Engineering, in Troy, Michigan, for a Manufacturing Director, Moulded Foam U.S. & Canada position. Responsible for all aspects of the plants’ performance with respect to budgets, financial plans, and plant operating goals. Provide guidance to Plant Managers, who oversee facility safety and health, profitability, productivity, and the Woodbridge Production System. Direct or coordinate production, processing, or distribution of industrial organizations. Develop and implement production tracking or quality control systems, quality control, or maintenance to detect production problems. Maintain budgeted profitability for Business Unit in areas of capital projects, production processes, product margins. Increase management’s effectiveness by communicating values, strategies, and objectives. Ensure that operating and financial objectives are met by the plants and the overall Business Unit by developing plans and management processes. Organize, prioritize, and allocate resources necessary to deliver the annual productional goals and objectives. Research markets, study technologies, and benchmark best in class manufacturing principles to develop strategic plans and to assist the plans and organization in meeting business plans. Partner with senior leadership team to set strategic direction for regional operations in alignment with global divisional strategy. Support profitable growth by meeting customer expectations, improving profit margins, manufacturing productivity, and alignment with our innovation process to ensure that new technologies are validated before commercialization. Prepare and present forecasts, operating budgets, and capital expenditure recommendations/submittals. Monitor financial results with the assistance of the corporate and Business Unit/Plants’ finance teams. Monitor third party businesses and suppliers to ensure that they are providing the needed services and supplies while staying within budgetary limits. Position requires 50% travel, including international travel. Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Position requires at least 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience (1) working in the manufacturing industry; (2) working in a multi-site manufacturing environment; (3) leading and managing operations of manufacturing plants and facilities.
