Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Employ technical expertise in immunology & oncology research to perform & develop in vitro/ex vivo assays within short timelines to help achieve milestone decisions.
- Evaluate emerging scientific literature, participate in scientific meetings, & stay current with new technologies & adopt them as appropriate.
- Partner with colleagues outside immediate organization to develop novel technologies & methodologies that will lead to the discovery of novel therapeutic targets & therapies.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Biology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, or a highly related field of study & 5 years of industry scientist work experience supporting immuno-oncology or therapeutic programs.
Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Biology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, or a highly related field of study & 1 year of industry scientist work experience supporting immuno-oncology or therapeutic programs.
With either combination of education & work experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
- isolating, differentiating, & culturing sensitive primary human & mouse immune & cancer cells, performing MLR (mixed lymphocyte reaction), & MDSC suppression assays, mouse & human T cell activation & proliferation assays, cytokine analysis via ELISpot, MSD, Luminex, & AlphaLISA assays;
- performing protein & cell-based assays to support small & large molecule therapeutic programs;
- analyzing & interpreting high parameter flow cytom
