What You Will Do
As a Marketing Collections & Systems Intern with the Yellow Shoes Resource Center, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Digital Asset Managers in a fast-paced environment that focuses on research, asset-based technology and enterprise systems. You will learn about and be assigned to a variety of responsibilities including cataloging multimedia content, documenting usage rights, data integrity and delivering project-appropriate content to production and creative teams. You will also learn how to locate and deliver assets from vast physical and digital archives. You will research current and historical Disney events and locations in a variety of databases for a client base that spans The Walt Disney Company.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- A passion for working in a client-facing environment while exhibiting professionalism
- Organizational, technical, and trouble-shooting skills
- Strong interest in digital asset management, metadata, collections management and archives
- Research and database proficiency
- Knowledge of multimedia formats (video and photography), databases, web design, application training and/or technical documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience with The Walt Disney Company
- Familiarity and knowledge of Disney Parks and associated products
Education
- You’ll be an undergraduate or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a earning a Master’s degree in Library/Information Science or a closely related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
- This internship is a primarily on-site position - Must be able to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
- Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025
- Work details - Must be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship
- Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
