Job Description
The Global Talent Acquisition team at Western Digital is looking for a Director, Talent Acquisition Operations who will lead the Operations and Coordination teams as well as oversee the Budget and Employee Referral programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate business requirements into technical capabilities to enable successful hiring.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Talent Acquisition (TA) operations, empowering hiring teams and managing the full TA lifecycle across systems.
- Design and implement global best practices and workflows, ensuring teams are equipped with effective tools for hiring and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance across regions, understanding local labor laws and recruitment nuances.
- Oversee training and change management to adapt to new technologies, market conditions, and organizational changes.
- Lead and mentor a global team of TA Specialists, Coordinators, and Operations Support, fostering collaboration, high performance, and innovation.
- Manage candidate experience to ensure a seamless recruitment process across multiple countries and regions.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (senior executives, hiring managers, HR partners) to align recruitment efforts with business goals.
- Manage Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other TA tools at a global scale.
- Optimize recruitment workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness in high-volume or complex environments.
- Maintain a strong understanding of global employment laws, immigration policies, and compliance regulations to ensure legal adherence.
- Manage talent acquisition budgets, vendor contracts, and resource allocation effectively.
- Use data and metrics to drive process improvements, enhance hiring efficiency, and improve candidate experiences. Apply analytics to measure success and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 8-10 years of experience in HR /or TA Operations with a minimum of 3 years management experience
- 3 years of experience in talent acquisition
- Proven ability to mentor, coach and develop others
- Demonstrated experience developing strong, collaborative relationships
- Ability to effectively influence, calibrate and communicate cross-functionally
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
- Experience working with an ATS
- Ability to identify and resolve issues independently, will take initiative - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
- Excellent customer service and bias for action
