Assistant Designer, ATM Clothing - NYC (Temp)

"General Summary: The ideal candidate must be creative, organized and follow directions well. They must have a solid understanding of Illustrator, Photoshop, and ability to hand render. This is an excellent opportunity to achieve experience and work in a highly innovative environment within the footwear industry.

Major Responsibilities: • Assisting design management from conceptualization to finished product• Researching and forecasting fashion, materials and market trends• Identify new fashion concepts that meet the brand aesthetic• Sketching, CAD work and help in creating specs• Contributing to both the development and sampling of new collections• Aiding in the production process• Ordering and tracking samples requested • Understanding and focus on specific customer needs depending on the brand and product category needed• Maintaining organization of the drive • Ability to travel both domestic and international• Special Projects• Other duties may be assigned.

Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related design experience• 1-2 years of design experience – footwear industry experience preferred• Hand sketching capability • Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop software • Ability to handle workloads and meet timelines • Team player with strong work ethic and discipline• Excellent written and communication skills• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook • Must be motivated and eager to learn in a fast paced industry

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24.00/Hr - $26.00/Hr Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
