Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license (required)

• Current CPR certification (required)

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree)

• Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience (preferred, not required)

• Familiarity with SigmaCare EMR (preferred, not required)

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will:

• Act as the lead nurse on your unit, guiding staff from admission through discharge

• Direct and support the interdisciplinary team (MDs, LPNs, CNAs, therapists, and family members) in building individualized care plans

• Monitor residents closely, identifying and addressing changes in condition to reduce re-hospitalizations

• Serve as a calm, decisive leader during emergency or rapid-response situations

• Educate nursing staff in advanced clinical skills, including wound and ostomy care, trach management, IV therapy, G-tube feeding, and more

• Perform advanced clinical tasks such as IV insertion, PICC line management, and catheter reinsertion

• Review care plans and verify assessments completed by LPNs
