Pay Range
$91,320 - $111,840 Yearly at the A01.2 level
$109,530 - $134,100 Yearly at the A01.3 level
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting; pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Job Description
We have an opening for a Division Operations Administrator to direct personnel administration activities. You will be a key part of our team’s division business operations and activities, strategically supporting the workforce goals and managing all hiring activities, leading a team of administrative staff that supports a variety of people and projects. This position is in the Computing Principal Associate Director’s Office and will be assigned to one or more Computing divisions.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You may have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week.
The position will be filled at the A01.2 or A01.3 level depending on your qualifications. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if selected at the higher level.
In this role you will
- Plan, execute, and/or provide oversight to a variety of workforce, operational and organizational requirements, and activities on administrative matters.
- Direct and oversee non-exempt administrative staff to include hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, career development, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, coordinating work assignments, and participating in alignment and salary activities.
- Independently investigate and identify solutions to administrative and personnel matters.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand strategic workforce goals and job requirements.
- Assist managers with writing job postings, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews, building hire packages, and coordinating internal transfers.
- Oversee day-to-day hiring activities and process flow; establish and maintain electronic tracking and record-keeping, and regularly report status of administrative and operational hiring activities.
- May oversee the postdoctoral program and collaborate on foreign national paperwork and immigration issues.
- Independently research, create, and interpret personnel policy and make recommendations to hiring managers including ensuring compliance with procedures, regulations and laws, and leading the implementation of corrective actions.
- Represent Computing on work-related committees and lead projects to assess, set and establish protocol and procedures for Computing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
In Addition at the A01.3 Level
- Identify strategies and goals for the team to ensure success criteria is clearly defined. Influence direction and drive action across the team to deliver high quality operations, service and collaboration efforts with stakeholders.
- Participate in business, workforce, operations and strategic planning activities relating to compliance, personnel, and operations as a member of the management team.
- Analyze and interpret HR requirements/guidance and determine and pursue courses of action to obtain results. Investigate and recommend appropriate courses of action to managers and supervisors on administrative and personnel matters.
Qualifications
- Experience leading and/or supervising employees and team building skills. Ability to take initiative and build productive relationships.
- Knowledge and understanding of the recruitment and hiring life cycle process, including working with recruiters, serving as a liaison with the HR team, and/or facilitating hire packages.
