ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Producer responsible for the editorial content and production quality of their assigned show(s) or live events. Position will conceive, develop and produce entire live or taped programs and will be responsible for executing and achieving the show’s success goals. Produce top quality content, always staying true to the Univision Deportes brand.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
Responsible for production/content planning, show production, content quality and maintaining the editorial tone of assigned show(s) and/or live event(s).
The Producer is the content leader in the control room with the assistance of their assigned Associate Producer and Production Assistant(s).
Manage assigned show(s) during live or taped execution in control room and provide support and guidance to on-air talent
Responsible for fulfillment of show templates, style, concept and structure
Effectively anticipates needs and requests quality content/talent from head of Editorial for the team
Confirm format and traffic logs for each production
Ensures that produced content adheres to editorial standards and legal compliance
Works with the Sports Integrations organization to create revenue opportunities
Bring fresh ideas and creative energy to the assigned show(s)
Creates innovative content that can live on multiple platforms
Create and deliver content for other divisions such as digital, entertainment, etc., as needed
Communicate with other departments such as traffic, sales and programming, and maximize the use of all available assets
Use all tools of production to complete tasks including but not limited to AVID, VIZrt, Ticker, Augmented Reality, touch screen, Liberovision
Suggest creative sales opportunities for the show
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in TV Production, Communications, Journalism or relevant field of study
3+ years of experience as Producer, Associate Producer or other similar positions, preferably in a newsroom environment with knowledge of live production and control room production
2+ years of experience as a field producer
Strong knowledge of current sporting events, and a passion for sports
Strong editorial judgment is a must along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Candidates must be editorially strong, creative and skilled in the latest news gathering technologies
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
Experience with iNews or similar newsroom computer system
Strong experience with digital audio/video editing equipment and/or non-linear editing systems, AVID preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Use of augmented reality and touch screen technology
Working knowledge and participation in various social media networks (Twitter, Periscope, SnapChat, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to (8) hours
