Job Title: Regional EHS Coordinator
Location: Sandersville, GA (on site Monday - Friday)
EHS Coordinator supports all aspects of the EHS regulatory compliance function. The position supports development, implementation and administration of EHS compliance programs, regulatory analysis, compliance with permits/licenses, audits, industrial hygiene workplace sampling and other aspects of EHS management.
Ideal Candidates will have excellent written and communications skills; attention to detail; ability to interact with other employees, outside vendors, regulatory agency representatives and legal counsel; the ability to work in and understand mining and production; and be able to work with databases, spreadsheets, presentations, documents and various other software programs. Must be able manage multiple projects and prioritize to diligently meet regulatory deadlines. Has the ability to be self driven to drive continuous improvement and meet deadlines.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a wide range of EHS compliance and training programs at both MSHA and OSHA facilities (Enablon, VelocityEHS, Vector)
Manage the Learning Management System for the East sites
Manage the HazCom SDS System
Schedule Training for sites
Work with outside vendors to get quotes for EHS site services
Work within SAP and AX to enter requisitions and receive invoices
Establish and maintain digital filing systems
Submit and manage AIG Workers Comp claims
Assist in EHS data entry and compiling reports
Support the Regional EHS Manager and other managers within the EHS&S group as needed
Other related duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in an appropriate technical discipline (such as Safety, Environmental or other related fields of study) OR equivalent appropriate professional experience in mining or heavy industry.
Leadership experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Travel - 10%
