Strategy & Business Execution Consultant or Senior Consultant

Zurich is seeking a Strategy & Business Execution Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Middle Market team. This position offers flexibility to work remotely from your home office.

 

As the strategic Consultant within the Strategy and Business Execution team you will support proactive identification of opportunities and establish action plans to improve business outcomes, execute multiple assigned projects to support strategic initiatives and operational planning and support the leadership in developing long-term business, financial and operational plans
 

Responsibilities of a Strategy and Business Execution Consultant/Senior Consultant include:
 

• Lead and support end-to-end strategic planning initiatives in partnership with executive leadership
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured problem statements, strategic frameworks, and actionable plans
• Analyze internal and external data to identify insights, trends, and opportunities that inform strategic recommendations.
• Build compelling executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate complex ideas, data-driven insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of competitors, market trends, and financial statements to generate insights that support strategic decision making and shape strategic planning efforts
• Monitor / review business progress relative to operational plans.
• Assist in valuation and measurement of key projects/initiatives.
• Build data models to support complex analyses.
• Gather market information, analyze key themes and trends
• Leverage advanced excel capabilities to build models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making
• Serve as trusted strategic advisor to business leaders, providing thought partnership and influencing decisions without formal authority
• Support execution of strategic initiatives by tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring accountability.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity within the Strategy team
• Identify possible issues / opportunities and assists in developing/ scoping solutions for these opportunities to support the achievement of business objectives.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Consultant:
 

• Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Strategic and Operational Consulting area

 

OR

 

Senior Consultant:

• Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Strategic and Operational Consulting area

 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• 6+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business planning, or a similarly analytical, strategic role
• MBA
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, complex formulas, scenario modeling) and PowerPoint (visual storytelling and executive presentation design)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize data into insights and translate insights into recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messaging to various stakeholders
• Insurance, financial services or banking knowledge
