ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator, to join our team in Laurel, MD.  The team delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. This effort is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO’s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities Included but are not limited to:

• Responsible for performing the functions of an Oracle/PostgreSQL database administrator and will perform database builds, database decommissions, database monitoring, database data migrations, documentation maintenance, database configuration changes, database software baseline maintenance, patching and configuration management
• Will assist with organizing requirements and data into a usable database schema while  contributing to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation 
• Responsible for supporting the development of long and short term requirements for database administration and design.
• Will assist with guiding users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. 
• Responsible for supporting the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts.

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional Database Engineering or Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Fifteen (15) years’ experience as a Systems Engineer / Database administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Experience with Database, PostgreSQL Database

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with:
  • Oracle Enterprise Management (OEM)
  • BARMAN, PGADMIN
  • Data Pump
  • Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)
  • Oracle Exadata/RAC

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
