Hendrick Motorsports, a leader in the auto racing industry, is currently seeking a Creative Project Specialist.

Summary:  Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, this role owns the traffic and workflow management function for marketing-related creative projects supported by the Creative Services group.

This role ensures projects are properly scoped, scheduled and resourced, while maintaining disciplined communication and balanced workload distribution across the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Creative Traffic & Workflow Management

  • Manage the flow of marketing-related creative projects through internal systems from start to finish.
  • Own the traffic function for Creative Services.
  • Create and maintain schedules, timelines and status updates within Monday.com.
  • Direct the routing of projects through graphic design, video and content teams.
  • Assign work and coordinate resources across creative disciplines.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines, brand standards and quality expectations.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks or competing priorities.
  • Maintain organized project files, documentation, routing processes and version control.

Process Development & Documentation

  • Partner with the Director of Creative Services to develop and implement standardized workflow processes.
  • Establish and maintain project intake procedures and creative brief templates.
  • Create and document routing, approval and reporting standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, clarity and cross-functional alignment.
  • Ensure processes are clearly communicated and consistently applied.

Reporting & Performance Visibility

  • Generate recurring project status, workload and capacity reports for the Director of Creative Services.
  • Provide leadership with structured reporting on Creative Services output and timelines.
  • Assist the social media team with recurring platform performance reporting, including compiling and organizing analytics related to engagement, reach and growth.
  • Maintain consistent documentation and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for project status updates and workload reporting.

Resource Allocation & Capacity Planning

  • Monitor team bandwidth and allocate work to ensure equitable distribution.
  • Maintain balanced workload distribution across graphic designers, video producers and content creators.
  • Adjust schedules and reprioritize work as marketing priorities shift.

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Act as liaison between Creative Services and partnerships, business development, marketing, content and production teams.
  • Ensure project briefs are complete, clearly defined and strategically aligned before work begins.
  • Communicate timelines, revisions and approvals clearly and consistently.
  • Maintain disciplined routing and approval processes to prevent delays or misalignment.

Studio, Equipment & Vendor Coordination

  • Manage scheduling and utilization of the in-house studio space.
  • Oversee inventory management and documentation for production equipment.
  • Administer equipment check-in/check-out procedures and maintain accurate tracking records.
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and budgets with external vendors and freelancers as needed.
  • Ensure vendor work aligns with internal schedules and brand standards.

Light Creative Support (Secondary Responsibility)

  • Provide light production design support (approximately 10-20% of workload) as bandwidth allows.
  • Execute minor graphic projects/updates, asset resizing, templated layouts and production-ready exports.
  • Support the team during high-volume marketing periods without compromising core operational responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in creative traffic management (preferred), project coordination or marketing operations.
  • Strong understanding of creative workflow and production timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or improving workflow processes within a creative or marketing environment.
  • Experience developing documentation, templates or standardized procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
