About the role

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. As a Skid Steer Operator, your primary responsibility is to operate heavy machinery, specifically skid steer, to perform various tasks related to fine grading and earthmoving on site construction projects. 

Experience:

· Skid Steer: 1 year (Required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and control skid steer to perform tasks such as fine grading and general earthwork. 
  • Follow project plans, grade stakes, and instruction from foremen/superintendents to determine the scope and sequence of      excavation tasks.
  • Conduct pre-operation equipment checks to ensure proper functioning of the excavator.
  • Safely maneuver the equipment on construction sites, maintaining awareness of the surroundings and avoiding hazards.
  • Collaborate with construction crew members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient workflow and project      coordination.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the excavator, such as lubricating, cleaning, and inspecting equipment to ensure optimal      performance.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Field Test will be conducted if considered for the job
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in operating excavators and associated controls is essential
  • Familiarity with construction processes, site preparation, and excavation techniques 
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, hazard identification, and safe work practices are crucial to maintain a secure      work environment.
  • Equipment Operators must be physically fit and able to sit for extended periods, operate controls with precision, and manage      the demands of the job.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
