We, the East Hospital Team, are committed to creating an extraordinary experience for our patients and visitors through the delivery of personalized services that consistently exceeds expectations.  We believe that through our teamwork, mutual respect, communication and coordination, every interaction is an opportunity to make a positive difference for our patients and visitors.  Patients and their families will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members.  As a member of this team, the Patient Care Associate provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes.  The Ambulatory Care Center treats a patient population within the full range of cardiovascular conditions. Patients see physicians for examination and counseling.  Cardiovascular testing and treatments are also provided.  

 

Position Summary 

The Patient Care Associate is responsible for providing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by the Registered Nurse.  Care is provided in collaboration with the patient, family and other members of the care team.  Overall responsibilities are to assist the team in meeting patient care needs and facilitating patient throughput. 

Minimum Qualifications 

For Hire: One year of experience as a hospital aide, EMT certification, completion of a military corpsman training program with direct patient care required or successful completion of the PCA training course required. Experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment preferred 

 

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent 

 

Licenses/Certification Code:  BLS Certification required
