Job duties
Manage Financial Accounting - this would include all aspects of financial accounting and in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and in accordance with Nebraska Corn Board and Department of Administrative Services policies.
Manage Office Administration - in cooperation with the executive director, manage day-to-day activities and policies within the office to ensure procedures are followed.
Coordinate Board Meetings - manage location details, functions and on-site contacts for board meetings and special events.
Coordinate Board and Staff Travel - manage registration, hotel and other travel arrangements for board and staff members.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, accounting or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing program administrative or business financial functions. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred: Knowledge of State of Nebraska accounting systems preferred, but not required.
Other: This position requires travel. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver’s license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft office, general office administration skills, knowledge of State of Nebraska accounting systems including E1, the DAS accounting manual and pre-audit certification beneficial. Knowledge of agriculture and Corn Resources Act beneficial.
