Job Details:

Starting Pay Range: $20.15 - $28.80 plus a $2.00 shift premium

D Shift Hours: Thursday to Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

SUMMARY

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Repairs or replaces defective parts.

Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.

Lubricates and cleans parts.

Starts devices to test their performance.

Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.

Repairs electrical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

6 months work experience in industrial/manufacturing/construction or landscaping environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Maintain an updated forklift drivers license (renewable every two years).

The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

B Shift Sunday to Wednesday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm**

D Shift Thursday to Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm**

Sunday is a scheduled plant shut down for Maintenance, housekeeping, and Training.

Shifts are subject to every 8 week periodic rotation.

Sunday is a scheduled plant shut down primarily for Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Training.

Shifts are subject to periodic rotation every 8 weeks. 

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Rehire Rule of no more than  3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
