Sr. Accountant

The primary function of this position is to maintain accurate and up-to-date information about our suppliers, ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication. An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Accurately input, update, and maintain all programs including but not limited to, supplier information into our databases, program details, products, item specifications, exclusions, and pricing.
• Maintain supplier files, organizing documents and contracts electronically.
• Process supplier payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Respond to supplier inquiries and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Keep information confidential and comply with data integrity and security policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Education/Training:
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in similar role, preferably in the food distribution industry
     
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be proficient in Excel (create VLOOKUP, pivot tables and spreadsheets with complex
    formulas linked to other spreadsheets).
  • Advanced experience using accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Multiview, Great plains.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
  • Must have superior communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work independently and lead team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills with at least 30 WPM accuracy.
  • Experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
