Arxada is looking for Senior Chemist (Quality) to contribute to the daily activities as a member of a team who effectively tests raw materials, in-process batches and finished batches while maintaining Quality documentation in the appropriate computer information systems. The Senior Chemist acts as leader in the QC lab.  This position will oversee California and Arkansas locations.

The salary for this role is between 65,000-90,000 based on the experience of the selected candidate.

Essential Job Functions:

Ensure proactive continuous improvement of the manufacturing and quality processes. Collect/collate and report the defined KPIs that relate to QC.

• Develops or updates procedures relevant to quality, operations, or as assigned.  Supports and enforces SQF initiative through meeting scheme requirements that pertain to quality control.   

• Analyzes and adjusts plant batches. 
• Leads plant rework and RFT.
• Issues Certificates of Analysis
• Analyzes various types of samples. 
• Leads proficiency testing for lab/ troubleshoots instrumentation/ supports Research and Development.
• Completes special projects assigned to the Quality lab.
• Train new employees/ lead refresher training.

• Leads root cause investigations of minor and major quality incidents. 

• Calibrates, validates, or maintains laboratory equipment.

• Assist with NSF,OMRI, Halal and Kosher requirements for certification. 

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry
• 5 years of Industrial manufacturing lab experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/Data Management Systems. 
• Analytical techniques such as  AA, titration, etc. 
• Chemical manufacturing OR Food manufacturing experience (highly preferred)
