Location: Logan Health – Kalispell, Montana

Shift: Day Shift – 12 Hours | Part-Time – 24 Hours

As a Cardiac Holding Room RN, you’ll play an essential role in preparing and recovering patients who are undergoing life-saving heart procedures. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide expert nursing care in the pre- and post-procedure phases for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, device insertions, and related interventions.

  • Prepare patients by initiating IVs, administering medications, completing assessments, and ensuring readiness for procedures.

  • Educate and support patients and families, offering clear guidance and reassurance throughout their experience.

  • Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, and procedure sites to ensure safe recovery and smooth transitions of care.

  • Collaborate with cardiologists, Cath lab teams, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless, high-quality care.

  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, infection control, and patient advocacy.

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • Current Montana RN license (or ability to obtain).

  • 1+ year(s) of acute care experience (critical care, cardiac, emergency, or procedural nursing preferred).

  • BLS and ACLS certifications.

Preferred:

  • BSN

  • 2+ year(s) of acute care experience.

  • Prior experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiology, or IR.

  • Knowledge of cardiac medications, hemodynamic monitoring, and conscious sedation.

  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Current Montana RN license or a multi state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.  BSN degree preferred.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar position within a medical setting (eg, physician office, clinic, or hospital) preferred.  Experience in assigned area(s) preferred.

  • Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.  

  • Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR and/or BLS certification required as dictated by each practice/service line.
