Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Plant Accountant to join our team in Holland, MI.  The position will be eligible for a flexible work schedule which allows for work from home 1 or 2 days a week. 
 

As a Plant Accountant, you will:
Provide financial support to plant manager and plant operating staff.  Provides financial controls for all plant assets and operating reports; provides financial analysis for plant projects.  Ensures all plant financial reports and analysis comply with appropriate accounting principles and company policies, accurately reflect condition of business, and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.  Participates in continuous improvement projects with the Operations, Supply Chain and Finance teams.  Supports monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual audit, and budgeting processes.

Do you have these required qualifications?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• Three or more years accounting experience with progressively expanding duties in variety of accounting areas.
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification.
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
• Experience in a manufacturing cost environment.
• Furniture industry experience. 

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

• Working knowledge of manufacturing and accounting systems and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
• Strong accounting, analysis, problem- solving, and data-gathering skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
• Demonstrated ability to act independently without close, direct supervision; accept increased responsibility; and contribute to plant performance at higher level over time.
• Ability to be regularly exposed to production environment.
• PC and keyboard/mouse skills required; excellent spreadsheet application skills.
