About This Role

The Senior Project Manager, Real Estate and Workplace is responsible for executing on a variety of build projects ranging from new offices as Adyen expands around the globe, to expansions, upgrades and repairs in our current locations. In addition, this role will lead internal initiatives for the Workplace team with the goal of creating efficiencies for our team and our cross-functional partners. Reporting to the Head of Real Estate and Workplace, the candidate for Senior Project Manager will have advanced knowledge in project planning, budgeting and schedules; will enjoy working with internal partners to create a unified vision for internal and external projects; and has experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Project manage all of the global office builds. Work closely with the workplace teams, user teams, finance and people teams to determine needs, scope, budgets, and schedule on all new offices
  • Lead internal cross-functional project teams to achieve project goals; bring all invested teams, including workplace, design, IS, and others into alignment on scope; create clear communication channels among stakeholders and set expectations regularly as projects progress
  • Provide on-site leadership of both internal and external project teams, including workload planning, roles and responsibilities, deadlines, and milestones to ensure project plan is met; be the first point of contact internally when new projects are contemplated; be responsible for pulling in all the appropriate Adyen stakeholders to understand project scope
  • Coordinate with workplace leads early in the process to ensure clean turnover of space for effective and efficient ongoing operations
  • Provide oversight, input, and assistance for all mid-size office upgrades, refreshes, expansions, and repairs; work with local workplace teams to understand the need, estimate costs, schedules, impact and ROI
  • Work with regional teams to source and onboard vendors for FF&E and ongoing maintenance with an eye toward maximizing cost savings while providing quality product
  • Work with Head of Real Estate to create clarity on and visibility into global capacity management; assess tooling and create reporting for ongoing, real-time, visibility into global office capacity
  • Provide assistance and project management for the assessment and implementation of internal workplace policies, procedures, programs, and tools, as the team continues to scale; make decisions and implement tools that will serve Adyen for the long term
  • Some domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in progressively more responsible Real Estate/Project Management roles
  • Proven knowledge of all aspects of Project Management inclusive of progressive experience in delivering office space on time and on budget.
  • Excels at budget management, and has experience in cost evaluation throughout the design phases to deliver projects within budget
  • Proven ability to understand a need and bring alignment across the organization with strong impacting skills.
  • Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships, prepare and present clear and comprehensive business cases and drive new initiatives
  • Ability to handle multiple projects of varying scale and complexity concurrently
  • Must possess outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be comfortable working within a global framework
