HOW A DATA SCIENTIST PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- As a Data Scientist Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of CMS. You will play a crucial role in advanced payment and policy analysis with linkage to other federal datasets to analyze trends in Medicare payment systems.
- Lead complex Medicare/Medicaid analytic projects and artificial intelligence/machine learning.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to analyze CMS data sources linked to data sources from other federal agencies
- Drive impact analysis of healthcare and payment policy changes on health outcomes and program integrity.
- Utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning to advanced complex analyses and develop algorithms to assess exposure to fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicare program.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelors in a related field. Masters Preferred
Experience: 8+ years of related experience and experience with advanced Medicare and preferably Medicaid) healthcare analyses and linkage to non-CMS data sources
Technical Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in a data analytics or computer-science related field(s).
- 5+ years of experience using R or Python, performing machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- 5+ years client relation activities, ingesting and synthesizing customer specifications and effectively communicating complex analytic outcomes to client satisfaction.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
