About the Role:
We are currently expanding our Sales team and are looking for a new colleague to join as a Manager of Account Management, a first-line leadership role, responsible for building and managing the territory’s sales pipeline by leading a team of Account Managers across the US market. You are familiar with selling business-focused SaaS software applications and/or digital marketing solutions. This individual leads from the front, modeling best-in-class behavior, and taking direct ownership for the success of the team in all areas. They are familiar with how to sell to C-Suite executives, board members, and their teams. This individual is also an entrepreneur at heart, with the ability to operate in decentralized and autonomous fashion with a bias for action.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the “Exec Sponsor” helping teams navigate complex sales cycles and be a trusted advocate for the customer
- Own regional sales quota and effectively communicate successes and challenges to the internal executive team
- Lead, coach, and continuously develop a world-class team across the United States. This business is focused on ~100+ accounts with high growth opportunities
- Must be able to foster exec relationships with genuine interest in customers’ success. Owning “day to day” exec sponsor role is critical
- Proven ability to recruit and retain top talent
- Instill a culture of excellence that exceeds goals and targets
- Leverage and advocate value selling methodology to drive consistency and scale in progressing and closing business across the region
- Defend value to renew and upsell existing subscriptions
- Confidently communicate the Commerce Experience Cloud value proposition.
- Negotiate deals and contracts at various levels within the targeted account, with primary focus/importance on “C” and enterprise level negotiations.
- Manage consistent account planning processes across region to maximize focus and leverage across teams
- Manage team linearity and drive world-class CRM, pipeline hygiene, and forecasting
- Enable team on platform selling motion focused on helping customers achieve significant business outcomes
- Develop leadership and teams so that success is achieved in a balanced fashion across the regions
- Lead a broad ecosystem of specialist, pre-sales, partner sales, consulting, inside sales field marketing, and other functions that matrix into the team
What you Need to Succeed:
- 3+ years of successful sales leadership experience preferred, in business application software, as measured by performance against goals, including consistent performance above quota (strong cross-sell performance a big plus)
- Ability to learn and navigate complex platforms quickly, utilizing data to identify opportunities for client growth
- Highly collaborative with demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed environment. Must be able to sell internally just as effectively as externally to help teams win
- Strong enablement capability to help Account Managers grow their skills and careers
- Highly entrepreneurial way of thinking, with the ability to shape internal processes and enable team to sell effectively
- Experience managing a named account model to scale a business across large geographies and teams. Clear understanding of how to focus and align resources appropriately
- General Manager mentality, including focusing on overall customer success, and running a real-time business with systems such as CRM, analytics, etc.
