Furnace Welder B

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity and reliability of industrial furnaces through proficient welding and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities for Candidates

• Perform welding and fabrication work on industrial furnaces following safety protocols and procedures. 
• Conduct inspections and assessments to identify defects and areas in need of repair.                    
• Repair and replace damaged or worn furnace components, including tubes, refractory materials, and support structures.                   
• Utilize various welding techniques, such as TIG, MIG, and Stick welding, to meet project requirements.                      
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with industry standards, codes, and specifications.                          
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.                
• Maintain and care for welding equipment, tools, and materials.           
• Document work performed, including welding logs and equipment maintenance records.

 

Qualifications for Internal Candidates  

 

 

• Proven experience as a Furnace Welder in an industrial setting.                        
• Must pass Weld Test                      
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.                           
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures.                          
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.                   
• Excellent problem-solving skills.                        
• Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work.              
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.              
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and outdoors when required.
