Jr. QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will collaborate closely with software developers and QA analysts to implement efficient testing strategies and tools that streamline our testing processes and enhance overall product quality.

Day to Day

• Design and implement robust automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Develop reusable and maintainable automated test frameworks and infrastructure to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with QA analysts and software developers to understand product requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Identify and prioritize test cases for automation to maximize test coverage and efficiency.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, performance issues, and other quality-related problems.
• Report test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Continuously enhance and optimize automated testing processes and tools to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in automation testing and integrate them into our QA practices.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and effective communication of testing progress and results.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to contribute to the development process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in QA automation engineering or a similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, WebDriver, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Puppeteer, Playwright, Cypress or similar.
• 2+ years of experience with Java
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines like Azure DevOps.
