<p> </p> <p>​RWE Supply &amp; Trading GmbH<br/> To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent</p> <p>Your future plans<br/> The Day-ahead Planning &amp; Dispatch team serves as the central commercial hub at RWE Supply &amp; Trading GmbH (RWEST) for all continental European dispatch decisions in the power markets. We strategically coordinate the timing and volume of electricity production from our diverse portfolio of power plants, guiding operations from planned activities to managing unforeseen deviations caused by weather or technical factors. <br/> <br/> As a member of our team, you’ll take over the 24/7 responsibility, steering one of Europe’s largest fleets of conventional and renewable power stations. We have over 20 GW of installed capacity across various asset classes and, among others, an additional 3 GW of RWE‘s Battery investment pipeline in the very near future. Be part of an exciting journey in the energy industry, where you'll witness and contribute to the unfolding energy transition firsthand.</p> <ul> <li>Optimising Portfolio: Manage the Belgian, Dutch, and German power plant portfolio, encompassing conventional, renewable, and customer assets, alongside new technologies like large-scale batteries; This is done through continuous re-optimisation within the portfolio and on the intraday markets</li> <li>Availability Management: Coordinate and react to short-term changes in availabilities of power plants </li> <li>Delivery of ancillary services: Ensure provision and delivery of reserves for the grid operators and other customers, manage redispatch requests, and serve as the central point of contact for grid operators</li> <li>Market Expansion and Asset Implementation: Drive new market entries as well as new asset implementations with internal and external experts</li> <li>Process Enhancement: Drive and contribute to the automation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal tools and processes to streamline operations</li> <li>Innovative Solutions: Bring a fresh perspective to the table to tackle optimisation challenges, identify new business opportunities and develop creative solutions</li> </ul> <p>Your powerful skills</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated skill set in dealing with commercial aspects and analytical thinking, paired with a mindset tailored to a fast-paced environment</li> <li>High professionalism and experience in efficiently managing large asset portfolios and taking responsibility for the team’s P&amp;L contribution</li> <li>Be an excellent team player and demonstrate professionalism in collaboration with stakeholders</li> <li>Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure</li> <li>Good IT skills and a knack for problem-solving across various domains</li> <li>Willingness to work in a fully continuous 24/7 shift environment</li> <li>Fluent in English and German</li> <li>Hold a degree or completed apprenticeship with relevant further qualifications in fields like engineering, economics, mathematics, IT, or similar</li> </ul> <p>Advantageous, but not a must</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in programming, particularly in VBA and/or Python, SQL</li> <li>First experience in Tableau</li> <li>Technical background in power stations </li> <li>Proficiency in Dutch</li> </ul> <p>What we value most is passion, willingness to learn and a determined and resilient work ethic.
