Primary Purpose: The accountant will provide accounting support for North America Ecommerce.

Responsibilities include –Maintaining accurate financial records, booking Journal Entries, participating in month end close process, account reconciliation, SOX Compliance, and proving customer service support. This role reports into the Manager, Retail Accounting. 

 

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in accounting to...

 

  • Participate in month-end close process for Coach by preparing and booking Journal entries and ensuring Tapestry’s deadlines are met.
  • Prepare detailed reconciliations of key assigned accounts, investigate, and resolve variances.
  • Reconcile daily credit card transactions, which represent ~90% of our tenders.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by responding to auditor inquiries and providing required documentation/explanations.
  • Prepare reporting for Coach e-commerce credit card fees and chargebacks.
  • Collaborate effectively with corporate finance, IT, and customer service teams on different tasks.
  • Respond to customer service tickets.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, and internal accounting policies and procedures.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, opportunities etc.
  • Learn process flow of all transactions to be able to get into the detail when issues need to be researched.
  • Perform Sales Audit for e-commerce transactions.
  • Ad-hoc projects as required.
