Job Description

AZZ has an exciting opportunity for an EHS Supervisor. This role can work out of any AZZ Galvanizing facility/location. Reporting to the Director of EHS, you will be responsible for supervising the implementation of the organization’s health and safety policy and procedures. You love safety! And we’re confident you’ll help us create and maintain a safe working environment that complies with all current and future regulations and laws. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of safety professionals who conduct safety audits to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working conditions. 
• Oversees and coordinates activities of personnel to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations. 
• Confers and cooperates with supervisory/management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures. 
• Investigates accidents, completes or verifies accident reports, and liaises with specialists and health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
• Recommends changes to working conditions to ensure all employees have a safe and healthy working environment and the organization complies with all regulations and laws, and internal safety policies and standards. 
• Maintains and analyzes records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern. 
• Educates and trains the organization's workforce on health and safety to ensure they understand and comply with the health and safety policies and standards.
   

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of EHS experience required. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required. 
• Excellent written and oral communication for both internal and external engagement.
• Must be able to travel 50% or more, international travel included.
• Must have a valid driver’s license under no type of suspension.

Minimum Education

• Bachelors degree required.
• Safety certifications are preferred.
