EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED
- Experience
2 years of related supervisory experience
- Licenses and Certifications
Incumbent must obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment within 90 Days and
CPR certification must be current for duration of employment within department.
JOB DUTIES
- On site supervision of day-to-day operations of the Guest & Patient Services departmental functions at all regional sites around the DFW metroplex. Directly supervises Lead Patient Services Representatives. Inspiring commitment and team building to motivate staff on the service goals of the Ut Southwestern hospitals and clinics.
- Assesses workflow at clinical buildings and two hospitals and rotates staff as necessary to ensure adequate staffing at each site. Assists Guest & Patient Services Manager and other departments to ensure successful business operations.
- Completes and coordinates projects and reports which require use of computer software applications. Conducts performance evaluations, recommends disciplinary actions, and assists with departmental hiring. Makes recommendations for changes to policy and procedures. Builds solid working relationships with all Guest Services employees.
- Responsible for coaching, counseling and formal discipline of Patient Service Representatives and Lead Patient Services Representatives. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment, uses discretion to make decisions or seeks advice from Manager.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, follows policies and procedures, responds to management direction, and arrives to work, meetings and appointments on time. Communicates changes effectively, prepares and supports those affected by change, monitors transition and evaluates results and relays feedback to Manager to improve performance.
