Instructional Assistant, PreK (NE )(2024-2025) - Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Towson MD

We are seeking candidates for an Instructional Assistant, PreK. She/he will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional help.

Essential Functions

• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
• Prepare age-appropriate materials
• Help organize and prepare resources for students
• Help in integrating technology to effectively create a 21st-century learning environment within the classroom (ISTE Standards)
• Collaborating with other teachers, staff, students, and parents to support student progress
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
• Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities
• Communicate professionally and promptly with parents

Position Qualifications

• Degree in Elementary Education and/or 90 hours certification preferred
• Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
• Must commit to Catholic School education.
