THE JOB:

As a Food Runner at Diablo's Cantina, you’ll be a vital part of the team, ensuring that food is delivered to guests efficiently while maintaining smooth communication between the kitchen and the front-of-house team. In addition to delivering food, you’ll describe each dish with precision and confidently answer guests’ questions, contributing to an unforgettable dining experience.

THE STARTING RATE: $14.4733

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter

• Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes

• Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position

• Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service

• Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Six months experience in a high-volume restaurant, in roles such as busser, food runner, food server, or host person

• Experience in a full-service, three meal restaurant setting

• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms in English, with the ability to effectively coordinate between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
