Search for Associate Dean for Research

Applications are sought for the position of Associate Dean for Research (ADR). A detailed Position Description can be found here [Associate Dean for Research Position Description]. This will be an internal search open to faculty of the rank of Professor.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Dean of CECAS to develop a vision for supporting ClemsonElevate’s second pillar, i.e., double research expenditures by 2035 and position Clemson for AAU membership. From 2020-2023, CECAS research expenditures have been $46m, $54m, $72m, and $76m, respectively.

Qualifications

Candidates for the position must have an earned doctorate in Engineering or an applicable field, a solid and active record of scholarly research and publications, experience with a diversified base of externally funded research, deep knowledge of Clemson’s research enterprise, and demonstration of strong leadership and communication skills.
