Adjunct Faculty Credit - Radiologic Technology Mammography

About the role

The Radiologic Technology Program is seeking adjunct faculty to join the Radiologic Technology Department as a mammography instructor.

Essential Duties:

  • Teach one didactic and one mammography courses during each the fall and spring semesters.
  • Lead/participate in a six-week biweekly didactic course.
  • Lead the clinical education portion of the mammography certificate program for 10 weeks.
  • Possess a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence.
  • Maintain current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources.
  • Maintain expertise and certifications appropriate to teaching responsibilities.
  • Grade and provide detailed feedback on all assignments within a timely manner.
  • Actively respond to student emails and requests within 24 hours.
  • Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)
  • Verify student enrollment and submit grades

Education Requirements:

Education required:

  • Registered ARRT (R)(M)
  • Licensed in the state of Illinois (IEMA)
  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements: 

  • At least 2 years of employment as a mammographer
  • At least 1 year teaching mammography or related radiologic technology courses
