Position Overview:
As the Veterinary Technician Shift Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing our team of Veterinary Technicians. You will lead by example, facilitating effective communication, coaching, and professional development within your team. Additionally, you will remain hands-on, delivering high-quality patient care while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and coach your team to foster strong performance, high productivity, and the consistent delivery of exceptional medical care.
- Maintain expert-level proficiency in veterinary technician skills, working alongside your team to provide hands-on, high-quality patient care.
- Build and strengthen collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, facilitating clear and efficient communication of policies, standards, and performance goals.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to drive service excellence and streamline operational efficiency.
- Actively support team members in anticipating and addressing client and patient needs, especially during challenging or escalated situations, ensuring a positive experience for all.
- Coordinate the daily workflow and task assignments for Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to ensure the hospital is staffed effectively and operates efficiently
- Provide constructive performance feedback and assist in creating improvement plans, schedules, and recruitment strategies to help Veterinary Technicians reach their full potential.
- $26-$32 hourly, based on experience
- Full Time
- Tuesday/Friday/Saturday
- 5am- 6pm
- Tuesday/Friday/Saturday
- You are a confident and highly skilled Veterinary Technician with proven supervisory experience, dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and top-notch patient care. (Previous Technician Lead experience is strongly preferred.)
- Outstanding interpersonal skills allow you to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels, from clients to doctors and hospital staff.
