2026 Undergraduate Intern, U.S. Senior Loans
OaktreeAbout the role
Our Company
Oaktree is a leader among global investment managers specializing in alternative investments, with about $200 billion in assets under management. The firm emphasizes an opportunistic, value-oriented and risk-controlled approach to investments in credit, private equity, real assets, and listed equities. The firm has over 1200 employees and offices in 24 cities worldwide.
The U.S. Senior Loan strategy invests in broadly-syndicated, senior-secured loans or other senior, non-investment-grade debt. In most instances, the instruments we target constitute the most senior component in the borrower’s capital structure. The strategy’s focus is on U.S. dollar-denominated loans secured by first-priority liens in performing companies primarily within the U.S. Though it is less common, we may also invest in second lien loans, non-dollar-denominated loans, and secured or unsecured bonds, where we believe the value of the underlying business comfortably exceeds the value of our claim in a downside scenario.
For additional information please visit our website at www.oaktreecapital.com. More information about our summer development program can be found here. Applications will be open through December 12, 2025, and candidates can submit a maximum of three applications. Please note, we are currently unable to provide sponsorship for our summer internship positions. This includes STEM OTP, H1-B, and other employment-based immigration cases.
Participation in our summer program does not guarantee future employment.
