Position Summary:

 The Customer Supply Chain Manager will be a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations for Managed Accounts and Segments.  This position requires a visionary leader who can drive excellence in customer service, operational efficiency, and innovation within the supply chain function.  

Lead a team of supply chain professionals, developing and implementing strategies that align with both customer needs and company objectives. They will be responsible for managing complex customer relationships, optimizing inventory and distribution networks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.  This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within our supply chain operations.  Expect a fast-paced environment where strategic thinking meets flawless execution. 

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive customer supply chain strategy, aligning it with overall business goals.

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the customer supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation(Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain)

  • Overseeing multiple customer accounts and large-scale supply chain operations

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the customer experience within the supply chain, focusing on cost-effectiveness

  • Build and manage strong relationships with key customer accounts, proactively identifying and mitigating potential supply chain risks

  • Implement and manage best practices in inventory management

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the customer supply chain lifecycle

  • Sets the vision, structure, Key Performance Indicators and goals for the departments.

  • Lead the analysis of supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction

  • Leading digital transformation efforts in supply chain

  • Embraces servant leadership principles, putting the needs of their team, customers, and stakeholders at the forefront.

  • Monitor and review KPI performance vs. goals; provide Leadership team with guidance and take corrective action to ensure performance targets are met, maximizing performance

  • Plans with sales leadership the implementation of new customers

  • Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, system changes, and other data to plan and develop programs and activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product.

  • Manages and develops personnel (recruitment, interviewing, hiring, terminations, performance reviews, professional development)

  • Manages to the AOP budgets.

Performs other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Marketing required.

  • Masters Preferred. 

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with expertise in food distribution and customer interaction. At least 5 years of leadership experience leading teams and/or supervisory responsibilities at a national level. In lieu of the specified education and experience requirements, a proven capability to perform the essential functions of the job, as demonstrated by an equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant work experience may be considered.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits as well as the subject matter expert on Supply Chain processes and techniques

  • Ability to develop, communicate, and implement long-term supply chain strategies that align with company goals and market trends.

  • Skill in fostering a collaborative environment through mentoring, active listening, and prioritizing team development and well-being.

  • Capacity to analyze complex data, make sound judgments under pressure, and
