About the role

The Program Support Specialist will work within the programs with the sales and installation team and will be responsible for performing a wide range of transactional, administrative, and project support duties. The Program Support Specialist will prepare project rebate packages by reviewing and validating data for accuracy while providing accurate tracking and reporting. The successful candidate is professional, self-motivated, customer driven and passionate about the energy efficiency industry.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures the collection of data and project information is accurate and can be processed and returned to outside Program Directors/Administrators. Applies theory, technical principles, and judgement to address a broad range of difficult projects/problems and reviews complex deviations to management for resolution.
  • Presents the validation approach and protocol results to peers and management as required. Assists or interacts with regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Reviews and interprets data for accuracy before generating necessary documents for submittal to regulatory agencies Re-validates any returned paperwork and gets it ready for resubmission.
  • Prepares report packages by analyzing and summarizing the data to support office and company protocol requirements. 
  • Rebate applications.
  • Helping put together large C&I proposals.
  • Successfully manages small to medium cross functional projects to ensure deliverables are met on time. 
  • Research utility rebates in unknown markets where opportunities present themselves. 
  • Assisting in researching targeted companies and associates with opportunity.
  • Submitting sold projects for approval of rebates applied for. 

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or better preferred (or equivalent in the field experience).
  • 3 years' work experience in utility-based programs.
  • Experience in web-based CRM platforms.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies. 
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and results driven.
  • Ability to manage detailed processes and problem solve quickly. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with clients and employees. 
  • Ability to work alone and in a group environment. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret product specifications, accounting statements, engineering reports, and project audits.
